New JournoScam Web Site

More than thirty articles on a new web site published this week allege fraud, neglect, harassment, and cover-up by Jeremy Dear, General Secretary, National Union of Journalists in a consort with Claire S Kirby and Roy M Mincoff (successive in-house solicitors) also NUJ officials and officers.

NUJ lawyers neglected to act in accordance with Vienna Convention and other international laws by allowing the journalist to languish in a Seattle jail for 111 days of an indeterminate sentence. The sojourn included torture and 25 days in solitary confinement incommunicado without trial or legal counsel.

Reginald (Tim) Gopsill, Editor, Journalist (NUJ magazine) orchestrated a seven-year, UK media blackout to cover up the neglect which prevented NUJ members from knowing about the case and providing support.

Dear and Mincoff covered up HM Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) dereliction by negotiating a £262,000.00 quid pro quo between NUJ and the journalist's member of parliament, Gareth R Thomas MP (Harrow West), Minister of State in a distinct conflict of interest.

The journalist, a London-born, Fleet Street trained, university educated, NUJ member for many years, failed to accept an ambiguous court ruling on protected speech grounds.

Judge James A Doerty, Washington Superior Court claimed that interviews by journalists with willing sources defined as harassment and that news gathering constituted illegal surveillance and stalking.

Doerty colluded with David C Broom, British Consul, Seattle, to ratchet up coercion to remove EU hosted web sites.

A pro bono criminal lawyer obtained the journalist's release on a writ similar to habeas corpus. Five international media and civil rights amicus curiae argued the case in Washington Supreme Court. In a unanimous finding by nine judges, supreme court reversed all superior court decisions which absolved the journalist of wrongdoing.

Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has both solicitors under investigation for professional misconduct and Metropolitan Police presently investigates Internet denial-of-service attacks associated with the case. Other agencies have criminal charges against NUJ officials and officers under consideration.
