NUJ Club JournoScam - Politics of Deceit - Introduction

Facts that Jeremy Dear, NUJ General Secretary and NUJ Lawyers do not want Members to know.

Distribution Proviso

The author and publisher has restricted access to this series of articles to National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) members (also named parties) pending investigation of alleged criminal activity and legal action under: Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992; Solicitors' Code of Conduct 2007; Solicitors Act 1974; Administration of Justice Act 1985; Courts and Legal Services Act 1990; Fraud Act 2006; Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006; Vienna Convention on Consular Relations; and, Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

This proviso in no way restricts NUJ and IFJ members from releasing excerpts (with accreditation) to interested third parties including news media. Separate exposes cover unethical and illegal activities by London Freelance Branch officials in a consort with National Executive Council officers.

Independent investigation by law enforcement agencies involves an alleged pattern or practice of joint and several illegal or criminal activities by: National Union of Journalists (NUJ) executives, lawyers, and staff; National Executive Council (NEC) officers; and, London Freelance Branch (LFB) officials.

The author has little personal knowledge of other branches and chapels which do not form part of intended civil and criminal complaints; therefore, he has no opinion on their activities. Adverse comments, all verified and validated to insure accurate reporting, meet legal requirements.

Judge James A Doerty, Washington Superior Court claimed (in a decision later reversed by WA Supreme Court) that interviews by journalists with willing sources defined as harassment and news gathering constituted illegal surveillance and stalking. He then conspired with David C Broom, then British Consul, to ratchet up coercion for removal of EU hosted web sites by transferring an NUJ journalist to incommunicado solitary confinement among murderers and rapists. The journalist languished in jail for 111 days of an indeterminate sentence before a public defender had him released on a writ similar to habeas corpus.

Jeremy Dear, NUJ General Secretary and Claire S Kirby (then NUJ in-house solicitor) neglected to act under Vienna Convention, United States First Amendment, United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the United Kingdom Human Rights Act. Roy Martin Mincoff (present NUJ in-house solicitor) has since covered up their dereliction by negotiating an illegal quid pro quo between NUJ and the author's member of parliament, Gareth R Thomas MP (Harrow West), Minister of State, Department for International Development. Investigation has revealed a distinct conflict of interest which denied due process under international laws.
[Quid Pro Quo] [John Pilger - New Statesman] [The Journalist]

Reginald (Tim) Gopsill, Editor, Journalist (NUJ magazine) ordered an absolute media blackout which has lasted for seven years which prevented NUJ members from offering solidarity to a union member of sixty years standing. By that, Dear, Gopsill, Thomas, and NUJ in-house lawyers neglected to provide constituent or member support guaranteed by parliament and Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (the Act). [Media Blackout]

If union members maintain a conspiracy of silence about illegal acts, then eventually the reputation of the whole trade union movement suffers. The public identifies the innocent with the guilty when details of corruption eventually surface. Members cannot improve the public perception of trade unions while union officials and members of parliament abuse the overriding rights and welfare of members.

Ethical members do not conceal abuse of office to give the appearance of justice. They voluntarily reveal what they know to insure due process and freedom of expression through solidarity - union of fundamental interests, purposes, and sympathies based in law.

NUJ cabal (clique), an exclusive circle of officials and officers, clandestinely usurps power and performs illegal acts for political expedience and personal gain after arrogating trade union power in violation of the Act. Cabal members, jointly and severally, have denied member rights and due process of law. By that, they have obstructed justice.

Jeremy Dear attended a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting (26 Oct 01) at which NEC announced his election as NUJ General Secretary (effective 01 Feb 02). Constituents returned 6,402 papers out of 24,872 issued and Dear received 3,427 votes. Following his election LFB newsletter proclaimed: Hail to the chief Jeremy Dear, General Secretary of the NUJ. . . . pledged to “protect journalists and journalism; tackle copyright grabs and improve freelance rates”. Dear returned unopposed in 2006 for an additional five-year term. An NUJ general secretary has not previously returned unopposed in over a century.

Franz Kafka

During his first term, Dear surrounded himself with sycophants that insured his reelection unopposed as often occurs in despotic regimes. Jubilation about that reelection seems ludicrous. Essentially, nobody wished to run and take the chance of inheriting an oligarchy which had misappropriated executive authority.

The present anarchy points up a real need to actively promote opposing candidates to insure that incumbents do not retire in place. Members must learn from the current situation and overcome the extant apathy to insure that multiple candidates run for all elected positions: essential to maintain democracy and dispose of recalcitrant cabals.

A general secretary who abuses and humiliates members upon whom he relies for his livelihood, manifests stupidity. To extend that behavior into a coordinated campaign based upon an apparent antisocial personality disorder ranks much more seriously.

Dear’s alleged dysfunction has made him a prime target for unscrupulous or incompetent lawyers whom he religiously parrots: a generally acknowledged psychotropic pattern. The present situation warrants impeachment proceedings to rectify the undemocratic imbalance; otherwise, Dear will remain as general secretary until (31 Jan 12), if not jailed in the meantime.

On his watch as general secretary, Dear has supervised two legal officers both members of the Law Society (UK): Claire Susan Kirby SRA #21078 (21 Oct 99 through 01 Sep 05) and Roy Martin Mincoff SRA #112029 (03 Aug 05 through present). Each of them has allegedly committed gross professional misconduct and unsatisfactorily completed a Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) resolution procedure; consequently, SRA now has them under investigation.

They both provided false and misleading information during several mitigation opportunities. Like foxes that hear the sound of barking, they have gone to ground which makes them subject to disciplinary action by SRA.

Mincoff has set up yet another merry-go-round which amounts to nothing more than "bait and switch". It is quite obvious that he has no intention of complying with SRA regulations and NUJ rules; instead, in a consort with other officials he continues to compound the problems.

He consistently prepares outrageous comments which Dear parrots and Kirby has remained incommunicative in Thompsons Solicitors, Cardiff Office. They have both coerced proxies (straws) to handle their correspondence in an attempt to distance themselves from the issues. In a consort with other officials, Mincoff has used proxies, pseudonyms, and email aliases fraudulently. A check with sources found neither the people nor the addresses that he referenced.

Officials continue to try to confuse the issues by using false and misleading aliases and Mincoff continues to contact the author despite several requests to Dear for him to keep him on a leash while SRA investigates the issues which effectively classify as sub judice. Law enforcement agencies also have Dear and Mincoff under investigation which means that any provocation interprets as harassment.

Politics of Deceit - NUJ Freelance Rights Month - July 2009

The
Red Parrot

The Red Parrot

When NUJ Commissar Jeremy Dear announced Freelance Month he disingenuously said:
"Whenever anyone at the union talks about the problems of journalists we always include freelances in our analysis. But freelance members, especially those who work alone from home, can feel left out. So throughout July we want all our activists and staff colleagues to think about the concerns of our self-employed members. We have chosen this time because the massive cut backs in the media have hit freelances at least as hard as staff." With that statement, Dear reached the pinnacle of hypocrisy.

Club JournoScam intends to let freelance members know what they really face and how Dear and a team of sycophants repeatedly scam them for political expediency.

Readers can write to the editor about their experiences. If requested, names will be withheld to avoid retaliation by NUJ officials which evidently occurred when a member spoke his mind. [Lilley] [Editor]

Although oligarchy and anarchy do not normally share the same political space, Jeremy Dear has managed to cultivate coexistence (a fertile ground for despotism) which portends another trade union disaster reminiscent of the 1980s. NUJ now consists of a strange political mix which has resulted in a system of leadership based upon fear, discrimination, and harassment that results from coercion, intimidation and propaganda.

NUJ officials deny civil and human rights to members despite international laws to the contrary. Dear emulates Pooh Bah, Lord-High-Everything-Else: a pompous, ostentatious administrator employed to perform many job functions and who fulfills none of them. Instead of addressing issues, he relies upon pathological lying and transference of his own dysfunction onto others.

NUJ members need to make up their minds on issues without indoctrination by officials following secret political or financial agendas. Independent thinking goes hand-in-hand with the right to come to conclusions independently. Anything less smacks of neo-fascism. Democracy means individuating then application of critical inquiry to achieve compromise.

About the Author

NUJ/LFB Member Paul Trummel has written hundreds of articles on corporate, union, senior and academic abuse, and institutionalized racism. He founded Contra Cabal (one of the first electronic magazines to appear on the web) for which he develops the site, writes articles, designs pages, and produces graphics.

Published in print since 1944 and on the web since 1992, without a single challenge to the authenticity of his reporting, he has spent sixty years as a trade union member and elected delegate, twenty years as a new media industry CEO and systems designer/consultant, and thirty years as a post-graduate professor teaching computer industry executives and students of journalism, law, and graphic design working on masters or doctoral degrees. He has attended or chaired hundreds of faculty and trade union committee meetings including national conventions.

The web sites contain articles and descriptions of unlawful prior restraints and abrogation of journalism rights also details of imprisonment and ongoing Internet harassment using denial-of-service attacks.

Club JournoScam - Academic Corruption - Elder Abuse - Archives

Articles cover criminal activity by bureaucrats, union officials, and abusers of elderly people. They describe the actions of corrupt judges and gross misconduct by lawyers who file frivolous law suits against tenants in government financially-assisted housing. They reveal how people in authority use retaliatory measures and propaganda to destroy the reputations of people who report illegal activity and racism.

Probably one of the first to appear on the web, Contra Cabal has published since 1992. The hits/month range between 100,000 and 150,000 with more than 1.5 million hits by about 60,000 unique visitors a year.

Details of academic credentials and professional qualifications counter record falsification, withholding, and destruction, also forgery by registrars at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and University of Washington. Some articles challenge libel/slander maliciously circulated as part of an international campaign of character assassination, personal vilification, subornation, and perjury to effect prior restraint.

Jeremy Dear, NUJ General Secretary recently joined in that defamation. He muckraked to find and extract libelous statements and used them out of context. That suited his purpose to defame the author and to cover-up his seven-year neglect to support him on issues that affect all journalists. NUJ media blackouts cover up his dereliction.

Roy Martin Mincoff (NUJ in-house solicitor) negotiated a £262,000.00 quid pro quo between NUJ and the author's member of parliament, Gareth R Thomas MP (Harrow West), Minister of State, Department for International Development in a distinct conflict of interest. Both Mincoff and his predecessor Claire S Kirby (Thompsons Solicitors, Cardiff) are under investigation by Solicitors Regulation Authority for professional misconduct. Criminal complaints are pending against NUJ officials and NEC officers for fraud and neglect to provide member services.

The author's professional and academic credentials and curriculum vitae (about fifty pages) can be accessed from the menus at the top of each page. Anyone with an ethical reason can ask for verification and validation of any of the claims made on those pages.

Fraudulent Denial of
NUJ Member Services

Judge James A Doerty, Washington Superior Court (Seattle) claimed that interviews by journalists with willing sources defined as harassment and that news gathering constituted illegal surveillance and stalking then jailed Paul Trummel "the Journalist" (approaching seventy years of age) without trial or legal counsel contrary to international law.
[Kafkaesque Experiences]

The London-born, grammar school student, Fleet Street indentured apprentice, military veteran, university professor, and National Union of Journalists member, could not comply with an ambiguous and illegal catch-22 that Doerty used to place a prior restraint on free speech. Doerty ordered removal of EU hosted web sites that exposed homicide and elder abuse by his Zionist keepers.
[Censored Articles]

With full knowledge of the imminent jailing, Jeremy Dear, NUJ General Secretary and Claire S Kirby (then NUJ in-house solicitor) neglected to act under Vienna Convention and other international laws. They delayed then denied solidarity and support guaranteed by Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.
[Solidarity]
[Solidarity Statements]

Timothy R Gopsill, Editor, Journalist (NUJ magazine) orchestrated a seven-year, media blackout to cover up the neglect by Dear and Kirby which prevented NUJ members from knowing about the case and providing their support. Gopsill also invoked an illegal prior restraint with British Broadcasting Corporation and Press Gazette to insure that they followed suit.
[The Fifth Estate]

David C Broom, British Consul (Seattle) colluded with Doerty to ratchet up coercion which allowed Doerty to transfer the Journalist to incommunicado solitary confinement among murderers and rapists. The Journalist languished in jail for 111 days of an indeterminate sentence and experienced several near-death experiences before release on a writ similar to habeas corpus.
[Metamorphosis]

Five international media and civil rights amicus curiae argued the case in Washington Supreme Court. In a unanimous finding by nine judges, supreme court reversed all Doerty's decisions which absolved the Journalist of wrongdoing.
[Washington Supreme Court]

Dear and Roy Martin Mincoff (present NUJ in-house solicitor), while feigning solidarity, actually colluded in a cover up of HM Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) dereliction by negotiating a £262,000.00 quid pro quo in a distinct conflict of interest with Gareth R Thomas MP (Harrow West), Minister of State, Department for International Development (the Journalist's MP) and Jack Straw MP, now Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor.
[Quid Pro Quo]

The Law Society, Legal Complaints Service (LCS) has found probable cause that Kirby and Mincoff committed professional misconduct and initiated action by Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Meanwhile, Mincoff abused LCS resolution processes by providing false and misleading information.

Nothing Succeeds
like Excess

Freedom of speech, an absolute right not an abstract philosophy, should not subserve economic considerations.

Moreover, information technology remains a right not a privilege despite technocratic claims to the contrary.

Legislative and judicial decisions have determined the right of individuals to distribute information freely.

Laws do not provide much protection when despotic administrators interfere with computer resources because they disagree with the content of messages: a disagreement probably based upon disclosure of their own malfeasance.

They fear dissent and have an aversion to controversy. Their addiction to political correctness frequently causes them to invoke censorship of Internet activities.

They not only empower their systems administrators to handle frivolous email complaints by arbitrarily removing computer access but also allow them to censor incoming mail - an outrageous invasion of personal privacy.

They act upon an irrational expectation that certain categories of email may contain something that they would not wish others to read then arbitrarily reject it.

Interference with email transmission not specifically proscribed by international law classifies as a serious offense which National Union of Journalists officials should note.

Derogation

Repeated insolent and evasive acts by NUJ officers and officials to members with legitimate complaints have established an illegal pattern or practice.

The term "derogation" defines those acts as: communication that belittles and deviates or partially takes away the effectiveness of laws or rules.

Wrongful use of language evades a responsibility to investigate complaints exhaustively and without bias.

The number and frequency of those acts reveals an organized campaign which leaves no alternative but to file a request for investigation under Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006.

Contra Cabal Foundation

Trustees for Paul Trummel have authority to continue publication as an educational project through the newly formed Contra Cabal Foundation which will own all publication rights.

The Foundation will publish Contra Cabal in perpetuity in the way that Sonia Orwell posthumously published the collected works of George Orwell.

Foundation trustees and directors (professional people, lawyers, and academicians in UK and US will supervise editorial and design functions using young investigative reporters and graphic designers who wish to further their education in journalism.

Contra Cabal Foundation will respect former trustee the late William D Winn's last admonition "Go get 'em!" by continuing to report malfeasance and to expose morally repugnant lawyers and officials.

Readers should consider the articles and case studies as a work in progress. More information about fraud and deceit frequently surfaces after victims or their associates read Contra Cabal. That information becomes part of a relevant case study after verification and validation.

IFJ/NUJ members write letters to the editor on politically sensitive issues. Some correspondents request name withholding to avoid retaliation.

Contra Cabal electronic magazine contains expose and satire. Probably one of the first to appear on the web, it has now published since 1992.

The hits/month range between 100,000 and 150,000 with more than 1.5 million hits by about 60,000 unique visitors during the past twelve months.
